Over the course of ten weeks, I was able to get to work one-on-one with fourth and fifth graders at James Whitcomb Riley. I mostly taught two clarinet players, both in an individual setting and together. However, there was also an opportunity to teach a full group lesson with one of my colleagues, as well as work with a handful of novel string players of the same age. I
learned mostly about behavior management, and well as how fun younger kids can be when they want
to learn something new and difficult.
